Welcome to my photography page! My name is Petja, a Finnish portrait photographer based in Munich, Germany. I am specialised in newborn, baby, maternity and family photography.
I love photographing tiny newborns and connections between the family members. There are unique beauty within every baby and family and this is what I want to capture in my photos.
Besides the artistic eye a newborn photographer needs enormous peacefulness and most importantly patience. Some parents call me as a Baby Whisper because of my calming effect on babies and my patience. I have been photographing newborns since 2010 and I enjoy seeing my tiny clients grow and come back year after year.
When you are choosing a photographer, it is important to choose someone whose artistic vision and personality are a good fit for you. My style is pure, simple, clean and classic. I firmly believe in the ‘less is more’ philosophy allowing your baby and your family to be the focus of every image.
When I was around 7 years old, my mom took me to a photography course with her. I fell in love with photography and got fascinated about black&white photography. After many years I begun my studies in a photography school in Finland along my day job. Soon after the start I had to quit due to my job. My job took me to Mexico and I continued self-studying and attending various international photography courses still until today.
While I was moving around the globe, I gathered expressive international experience in Mexico, Vietnam, Kenya, United Arab Emirates, Finland and Brazil. During my years in Brazil I held photography workshops to other photographers. I was also a guest speaker in Feira Fotografar congress (São Paulo, Brazil) and Newborn Secret congress (Florianópolis, Brazil).
